"It was a very good year"
Just 4 years after Stackwell Forge was founded the company was awarded the title of "Small Business of the Year" by the Federation of Small Businesses.
This was a national U.K. competition sponsored by the "News of the World" and "Renault U.K.".
Obviously we are very proud and pleased to be recognised in this manner and were very grateful to receive the resultant publicity and financial benefits of winning the competition.

Paul's 'sheer dedication' was the factor that persuaded judges to award him the News of the World prize.
Working first as an apprentice farrier, and then working long hours to purchase tools and equipment for his own business, he remained focused throughout
Now that Stackwell Forge is established, I love nothing more than undertaking special jobs, such as, the manufacture of ornamental gates and balustrading for stairways 
, said Paul.
